IT Support Specialist

JOB Title: IT Support Specialist

Reports To:  VP Of Finance

JOB SUMMARY:

The IT Support Specialist will be required to perform a variety of information technology and technical support functions related to systems maintenance and administration of personal computers, security administration and technical support to user, troubleshooting of hardware and software problems, and installation of equipment and software. He/She will support all Computers Servers, PC’s, and mobile technology. The following does not represent all duties and responsibilities. Additional duties may be assigned as required. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS/POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science from an accredited college or university.  

  • Formal training in information technology and,

  • 3 years of experience in an information technology department.

 

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Analytical Ability/Problem Solving/Concentration

  • Able to comprehend verbal and written instructions and procedures.

  • Capable of functioning under stressful situations and a multi-task environment.

  • Able to set-up/install/repair Windows based PCs in an Active Directory

  • Accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Knowledge of Sonicwall Firewall and NetExtender

  • TCP/IP Routing Knowledge

  • Knowledge of switch configurations

  • Experience with Windows 2012 & 2016 

  • Experience with Windows 10 and Windows 11 

  • Experience with Enterprise Wi-Fi 

  • Intermec & Zebra Label Printer Configuration Experience

  • Familiarity AndroidOS

  • Able to prioritize work in a multitask environment.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Oversees and maintains software licenses and all other server-based applications and those used by the programming environment.

  • Works closely with corporate groups to ensure that hardware and software solutions are developed with the proper tool and context.

  • Provides input and support for the technical aspects of our disaster recovery plan for hardware, software, data archives, and application support.

  • Provides system administration server-based applications/systems.

  • Provides assistance to the senior staff.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be able to interact with all levels of management.

  • Works independently with minimum supervision.

  • Must adhere to all safety and environmental requirements throughout the facility.
