Shipping Department loader

Job Title:  Shipping-Receiving Loader

Shift:  Day shift – Flexible schedule

City:  Bethlehem & Easton facilities

State:  Pa

 

Specific Duties:

  • Responsible for unloading incoming materials, loading outgoing product and checking items against packing list to insure quantities match.   

  • Responsible for loading trailers properly when working beside other loaders. 

  • Responsible for putting correct quantities of finished products into trailer and checking pick ticket to insure quantities are correct

  • Required to read shipping paperwork and when time permits stage material prior to loading

  • Responsible for area sanitation and cleanliness including sweeping out trailers and assessing if trailers are fit for use. 

  • Responsible for re-packing product as necessary prior to loading. 

  • Perform duties in a safe and responsible manner and in accordance with company policy. 

  • Perform duties within the employee’s training and skills as directed by shift supervisor or department manager.

  • Must double check load ticket to insure customer is not shorted product. 

  • Loaders will spend the majority of their day in unheated or cooled semi-trailers either stacking 35 pound boxes from a trailer onto pallets or placing 6 pound boxes of foam products from pallets into the trailer 

 

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must follow company policies and practices including, but not limited to, the company’s attendance policy. 

  • This position requires constant bending, twisting, lifting over your head and standing for up to 12 hours

  • Boxes containing foam products are approximately 2’ long, 18” wide and 24” high.  Boxes containing solid PP products are 30” long, 25” high and 15” wide and can weigh up to 30 pounds.  

  • In this position the loader must stay until all trailers are loaded.  Their days could end as early as 3 PM or as late as 8:30 PM.

  • Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English, Spanish and/or Chinese.

  • Must have the ability to work in a fast paced production environment.

  • Experience working in a factory environment is preferred
